Allergy Relief Travelling Essentials

Do you dread travelling on vacation or business? Trips away from home, especially on vacation, should be fun. But if you have allergies or chemical sensitivities it can be a nightmare. Here are some products that can help make your trips away from home enjoyable.

The first place to start is with the bed. You can never be sure who or what has been in the hotel bed before you. In addition to dust mites, there will usually be perfumes, cleaning chemicals and odors that can make sensitive people ill. Our encasings will put a barrier between you and those irritants helping you get a good nights sleep.

We recommend at a minimum that you bring with you a fitted mattress encasing, pillow encasings, and a duvet/comforter encasing. The encasings recommended below have a urethane membrane that is virtually air-tight which means that dust mites, allergens AND perfumes/odors will not pass through. Yet the membrane is vapor permeable and soft. Note:the duvet/comforter encasing can be used to seal in hotel blankets too. Although you can sleep directly on the encasing material most people prefer the comfort of an additional bedsheet layer, so bring a set of your own bedsheets too.

Fitted mattress encasings are easy to put on and remove in minutes, our extra deep 18" encasings are so deep that they will cover most mattresses and boxsprings combined! Buy the largest size you are likely to encounter in your travels, any extra material can easily be tucked under the mattress. (for example choose King Size if you sometimes sleep in King and sometimes in Queen beds. This will save you having to buy multiple sizes.)
